Risk Assessment Workshop
Duration:
- Half-a-day or 1 day
Number of Participants:
- As required
Section 19 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 requires that employers and those who control workplaces to any extent must identify the hazards in the workplaces under their control and assess the risks to safety and health at work presented by these hazards.
This course/workshop is unique to our Company and aims at helping Employers to comply with the requirements of 2005 Act.
Training starts with a presentation on risk assessment process followed by an actual risk assessment workshop of your Company activities led by our Consultant. It is preferable to have employees who work in the area and perform the task on the Risk Assessment Team. Tailored checklists are used for hazards identification and risk assessment under normal, abnormal and emergency operations.
SWIFT (Structured What-IF Technique) is used to identify hazards and assess level of risk. SWIFT is a thorough, systematic, team oriented analytical technique. For each area of risk assessment a list of activities/processes carried out in the area is analized, previous incidents reviewed, consequences of failure of engineering and administrative controls are considered, regulatory issues are discussed, etc.
At the end of the workshop, you Company will be issued with a written risk assessment.
Please give us a call, fill in our Enquiry Form or E-mail us for further details.
