Method Statements
Introduction:
Method statements / safe systems of works are required to demonstrate that tasks have been adequately assessed and risks have been considered and evaluated.
2005 Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act requires a written safe system of works (method statement) prepared by the employer for employees` activities.
We will prepare a job/project method statement to ensure that your project is delivered safely and in compliance with the Safety Law.
All method statements prepared by us are unique to your project and a typical method statement covers the following:
- Project particulars;
- Personnel involved, their responsibilities and training required;
- Sequence of works;
- Plant and equipment;
- Method for access and egress;
- Requirements for personal protective equipment;
- Details of permits to work (if any);
- Waste disposal;
- First aid arrangements;
- Emergency arrangements;
- Risk assessment.
