Construction Safety and Health Plans

Introduction:

Construction Safety and Health Plans are required for construction companies who have been appointed for the role of Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS). This is the requirement of Section 16 of Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006, where the PSCS is required to:

  • Further develop before commencing of construction work, the safety and health plan for the construction site prepared by the Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP), if any;
  • Make adjustments to the plan or prepare a new plan;
  • Take into account other work activities taking place on the site;
  • Include in the plan specific measures concerning work which involves a particular risk, e.g. work at heights or near high voltage power lines;
  • Ensure that the plan and any rules contained in it are in writing and that they are brought to the attention of all contractors and other relevant persons who may be affected by them.

We will assist you in the development of the construction safety and health plan for your project.
